CREATIVE PROCESS
The 2020 Collection is a reflection of the healing process that took place during the 2020 COVID shutdown. I was experiencing intense PTSD flashbacks and night terrors so I started painting to alleviate my mind and body from the stress it was creating.
One of the hardest things to do is stay present when your entire world feels like it is collapsing around you. Painting after flashbacks helped me process emotions I had been carrying around for most of my life.
I never approached the canvas with an idea, only with the intention to transmute my painful experiences into something beautiful. Each piece of The 2020 Collection holds a unique moment of liberation from my past.
In 2021 one of my abusers was successfully incarcerated for the crimes he committed against myself and 13+ young girls.
Justice always prevails.
